Delivery of the CFSC and CRFSC will resume on August 14, 2020, for areas in Stage 3 of reopening.
Courses will not resume in any area in Stage 2.
Please keep in mind that since courses have been suspended since March, many of our instructors have long waiting lists and you may experience a delay finding a course in your area.
Thank you for your co-operation as we work at getting programming back to normal levels.
The Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO) is an association of firearms safety instructors.
Our instructors are designated by the Chief Firearms Office to teach and examine the Canadian Firearm Safety Course (CFSC) and/or Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course in Ontario.
Taking the CFSC/CRFSC In Ontario
New applicants for a Possession and Acquisition Licence must successfully complete the CFSC and/or CRFSC course and exam prior to applying for their licence. Participation in classroom training is mandatory and applicants are no longer eligible to complete a challenge test.
Students who have taken a CFSC/CRFSC Course and exam with an FSESO instructor will receive a stamped copy of their CFSC/CRFSC student report form from the FSESO administration office approximately 4-6 weeks from the date the paperwork is received in our office.
